Grijalva to speak on healthcare at church this Saturday

Two Tucson Democratic lawmakers will be at a Midtown church this Saturday to talk about President Barack Obama’s proposed reforms for the nation’s health care system.

The scheduled speakers are Arizona Rep. Phil Lopes and U.S. Rep. Raul Grijalva . They are set to speak as part of a morning session devoted to health care reform that starts at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mark’s Presbyterian Church, 3809 E. Third Street. Representatives from several local agencies with health care components are also expected to attend, including the Pima Council on Aging, the Pima Community Access Program and Passages, which focuses on end-of-life issues.

The event is free and open to the public.
